#23 - The 10th Amendmant

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Bill of Rights

There you have it, one of the most ignored and pivotal amendments to our constitution. This is pivotal individual civil and protection of vocal minorities and local autonomy. Essentially it's saying if the constitution did not say it's federal authority, or said the states can't make the decision it is by default the states decision. This to me is one of the strongest argument against the department of education and other FEDERAL entities.

This also why Roe V. Wade is unconstitutional, it took federal authority to make a decision that no where in the constitution gave it that authority to do so for or against. This is why a federal ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. This is why Environmental Protection Agency is unconstitutional and so many others. You hear so much talk about the 1st and second amendments but let's not forget theirs plenty more with the rationale for how this country can be most prosperous and free.

Ron Paul seems to be the only one who ever takes this amendment seriously with his small government constitutional approach. This is why he wants to end the war on drugs, the department of education, and so many other things that should have never existed in the first place. It's the right thing to do, Vote for Ron Paul in 2008.
