#57 - Symbols of Liberty and the Freedom Movement

(Further Research shows the Civil Flag may be a fictional design, either way I'm a big fan of what the flag represents and still am adopting it as a symbol for the Freedom Movement here at Cause of Freedom)

There are many symbols of Liberty in this nation such as the statue of Liberty, The Liberty Bell, The Bald Eagle, The American Flag. These are all great symbols of this Nation built on the principles of the Rule of Law and Liberty. Although the Freedom movement needs a symbol in US history that really embodies us what we're fighting for and can differentiate those in the movement and a group of people have for this purpose revived the Civil Flag, an old US flag long forgotten meant to represent peacetime.

"Through usage and custom, horizontal stripes had become adopted for use over military posts, and vertical stripes adopted for use over civilian establishments. The Civil Flag, intended for peacetime usage in custom house civilian settings, had vertical stripes with blue stars on a white field. By the Law of the Flag, this design denoted civil jurisdiction under the Constitution and common law as opposed to military jurisdiction under admiralty/military law."

CIVIL FLAGS ON OTHER LIBERTY MERCH

Also for the Liberty Independence Alliance, the social network for the Freedom Movement I made a flag for the network itself to act as an extra symbol for those who Join the LIA, which you should do.

This flag represents a few things:

- The White circle represents the Constitution and the 10 stars represent the bill of rights
- the 9 Stripes represent the 9 principles of the LIA which are Liberty, Integrity, Accountability, Federalism, Law, Knowledge, Diplomacy, Individualism, and Civility

Just quick a tangent on Symbolism, it's now time to continue to fight for freedom from tyranny no matter which symbols you prescribe to and vote Ron Paul into office today.
